The Rapunzel Trilogy

"Lanning is not only a good storyteller,
but owns a gift for prose and suspense."

Sue Harrison/Author MOTHER EARTH FATHER SKY

When a greed-driven stranger lures 11-year-old Sally Girl into the most treacherous journey of her life, in the crucible of a burning house she must test her courage and the courage of the only man who knows her mother's past and her father's name.

Set in the village of Haver in Michigan's eastern Upper Peninsula, Quest is the story of an extraordinarily intelligent young girl coming of age amid deception and betrayal, despair and salvation. Chillingly narrated, this is storytelling at its most compelling, with a cast of characters pulled from the streets of small-town America.
